hidden melody

A man and home for Heather,

And some peace and comfort for Solomon.

Healing from the hurt caused by your withered flower,

And some completeness for Philemon.

Calm and truth for Mwansa Kapwepwe,

And clearance for the unfair debt he keeps paying,

Ignoring you is a leeway.

To ignore everything my heart keeps saying.

A thousand loaves for the dying clan,

Just to keep them full for a night.

Joy for the African lifespan,

For in the kingdom of eternity, everyone is out of sight.

Pay attention to Chabu and hear his million fears, feelings and dreams.

Let him speak, for a voice silenced is one living in pain.

Let him also swim through the sims,

of inhibition of being in a warm place while his tongue leaves him in the rain.

Kids are growing and trees we planted are bearing fruits.

Let’s not shut it up, the voice from as far as Beirut.

Telling us we were meant to be.

You’re part of the few rare joys that were really meant for me.
